Nudes . . .
It has often been said by artists ;
“. . . the most difficult subject to paint, or sculpt, is a nude . . .”
“ If you can paint NUDES . . . you can paint Racing Cars!”
. . . The words of Mr. Mansour Ojjeh, CEO of TAG HEURE, said to Nicola, after the opening of the special Exhibition inspired by the famous Paris Night Club ! !
with strange names and exotic beauty they were, in reality (behind the scene), charming and enchanting . . .
“Olbia” and “Caterina” were ‘show stoppers’ at a Showing, at L’Atelier !
and yet - - - maybe . . . the lips say it best ?

How superb! What elegance! . . . .
and,
perhaps, my favourite nude !
but - - - I have many “favourites” ! !
Little known, Nicola made a series of etchings,
(printed in his own Printing Studio [ La Bottega ] in
Rome)
inspired by his sketches and studies of the Crazy Horse ‘Girls’ . . .
they are touching and elegant, and show his great respect for his
‘models’!

“Backstage No.3” etching ©SIMBARI Simbari adapted his sketches and studies to include two nudes into his |
Retablo in Silkscreen Editions. Limited Editions printed on both paper or canvas. The CANVAS editions have the ‘depth’ and ‘feel’ of his paintings, and are signed and numbered by him on the canvas. . . |

As always, his vibrant and subtle colours take ‘centre stage’. . .

This beautiful ‘nude’ gives me the ‘feeling’ that I have just
interrupted her as she is getting dressed
. . . she is “private” . . . she is “tender” .
. .!!
“Arancia” oil on canvas ©SIMBARI And yet . . . . . .his understanding of his ‘models’ is a ‘legend’ ! never brash - - - never vulgar - - - |
even - - - when depicting an ‘act’ at such a famous Night Club “Uhla Starlight”
