“The Face of the Master Poster Artist”
This was the exciting “New Years”, after WW2 . . . and a brilliant young painter had his first Studio, in Rome . . . the 1950s ! SIMBARI
It was the Dolce Vita years - - -the 50s and early 60s - - -
I was reminded - - - recently . . . by an unexpected Newspaper Article - - - about the finding of a ‘treasure’ of Film Posters, in a lost part of Nottinghill Gate Underground Station . . .

I began to do “my research” - - - what exciting ‘discoveries’ - - - !!
Of course, I remember, when we were first married, Nicola “DID” posters . . . many of which were spectacular . . . but I did not realize HOW IMPORTANT they would turn out to be !! . . .
these posters tell the Story of the rise of a great talent - - - !!
Interestingly, he never made this ‘side’ of his vast talent, public . . . but, like Toulouse Lautrec before him, this was part of his Artistic Life, with a family to look after . . . his mother, his sick father, and two young sisters . . . eventually, he decided to dedicate his Magic to his Painting !!
And so my adventure has begun . . . with an Award Winning Film and great Drama

One of my favourite posters, was done for WINES of ITALY, is this whimsical Map of Italy - - - which, some years later, I found in a popular Palm Beach (Florida) restaurant, as a ceiling decoration and cover for their Menu . . . !!
